(Soved) Search in "local" not working, but browsing local library works

There is one further problem I found with my setup: I can browse my library just fine, and scanning it works without errors (I think), but search in various clients does not work (I tried Ario, ncmpc, ncmpcpp, Mopidy Mobile). I get no search hits even though I can select and play the searched and not found titles by selecting them e.g. in the “Local Media/Albums” hierarchy.

Any hints/ideas?

Sorry, my stupidity. I must use asterisks as wildcard. Remembered it differently.
