Mopidy no access, not even local

Hello all,

I have set up Mopidy on the raspberry Pi as per usual instructions.
I have also set up the config file with hostname ‘::’ in both MPD and HTTP
I got no errors in setting up Mopidy and have started the server with sudo service mopidy start.

Now when I open the browser on the raspberry pi and put the local IP, or localhost with :6680 I get nothing. Just a this site can’t be reached error.

I have the feeling this is somehting small and stupid. But I can not figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello. Could you have a read of https://docs.mopidy.com/en/latest/troubleshooting/ and provide:

I meant, is it buster or something ancient? You have python 2.7 version of Mopidy. That’s old and not supported.

Ok… Sorry
I installed from a non Mopidy guide, while I htought it was official.
The link probably downloaded some very old one.

Did a clean uninstall and followed the proper one. It is working now.

Thank you!

Where did you find these instructions?

I used this page:

Only to discover later it was not from mopidy. Although the post is not even that old: Aug 2019
But I guess the link contains an old version then…

That’s an unfortunate guide to follow, there’s so much wrong! I’ll ask them to remove it.

Haha good. Thanks again for your help!
