well, I was hoping to get some answers to this same question, but my message got binned by the spam police.
There seem to be a number of people asking “what’s the best client” and not a lot of answers.
I settled on Iris, eventually, but it seems a tad incomplete and seems to favor Spotify over local files for the the library.
I don’t believe there is a “best client”, they all offer something different, some like Iris are excellent for Spotify, Mopidy Mobile obviously good for use on your mobile.
I still like and use Musicbox webclient and Iris for no other reason than they do what I want and I’ve used them both for a number of years.
Iris looks great but for reasons I can’t remember, didn’t work out for me. I really wanted it to and I may try again. MusicBox just works. It doesn’t get the love it deserves.
