Playlist versus Browse information

I’m sure this has been covered somewhere but I can’t find it. I’m using PMB 0.6

I have previously only used Spotify but am trying to set up PMB for someone with no Spotify account and therefore using local albums which are on the sd card with PMB.

All the music has been found and plays fine.

When playing local albums by going through ‘Browse’ I get album art and timer in ‘Now Playing’

I set up some playlists (.m3u) and saved in correct place, they are seen and work, however when playing same albums as above there is no album art and timer stays on 0.00 but they still play.

It’s not a problem if that’s how it’s supposed to be but I’m not sure that I’ve set up the playlists correctly.

To set up the playlists I have used WinSCP, right clicked on the tracks selection, chosen 'Copy file names (including path) pasted into a txt file and saved as a m3u file.

It’s a known issue. The way the webclient handles local playlists is
broken, it needs to do a lookup on the playlist contents to get the
metadata but it does not do that. I was working on a fix which I need to
release soon anyway.

Once again I am indebted to you.
At least I know I can carry on setting up the playlists as I am. I didn’t want to set them all up only to find I had them wrong and redo them.
