/music directory owned by uid 1000 and gid 1000?

Hi there,

I’m using musicbox 0.6 RC. When logged in as root via ssh, I noticed that the /music directory is owned by user id and group id 1000, both of which don’t exist in /etc/passwd and /etc/group.

Is this normal, does it have to be this way?

I created my own user with uid 1000, but now I’m a bit at a loss what to do with the group. Normally, I would have this user in the ‘users’ group, which has gid 100.

Any hints and background on why the ownership of the /music dir is setup this way is appreciated.

Sounds like a bug in the image generation, I would file an issue at https://github.com/woutervanwijk/Pi-MusicBox/issues/new
