The feature in Mopidy-Iris to show profile pictures, which also occur in the background of the profile picture of the artist, is cool! But if the picture doesn’t match the artist, then its a bit disturbing. This occurs especially with mixed albums and some Swiss local artists.
My question: is there a way to switch off this feature? I guess the pictures are drawn from lastfm.

Few years ago, it was not possible to disable this feature. But you’d better ask on Issues · jaedb/Iris · GitHub for an accurate status.
Trash images and texts have been a motivation to start developing an alternative client, Argos.
In Argos, album and track images come from the get_images() API of Mopidy, artist and album information is fetched from MediaWiki through MusicBrainz identifiers taken from tracks tags. But note that currently there’s no artist image. It is planned but I want to switch to Gtk4 before.

Thank you for your answer! We have two Mopidy instances running, one for local audio and one for streaming with Snapcast, controled with Mopidy-Iris. To control the local audio we use Mopidy-Mobile on our phones and Argos on our notebook. So I’m looking forward to the updated Argos! Thank you!
