Playlist editing and Amazon Music Plugin

Hello I’m new to Mopidy, going to be installing and playing around soon, but just wanted to do some due diligence. I’m wondering a couple things.

If Mopidy is installed on cloud, can the playlist be edited/reordered?

Also, is there an Amazon Music extension (or plans for one)?

Thanks!

Installing on a computer in the cloud shouldn’t be any different to installing on a computer next to you, in respect to editing playlists. But you’ll need a client that supports editing playlists, not all do.

I’m not aware of a working Amazon music backend for Mopidy.

Thanks for the info
Can you recommend any clients that support editing playlists?

Maybe Iris? I’m not sure, I don’t use any that do support that.

With Mowecl you can edit m3u playlists:

load your playlist in the tracklist, you can then modify the tracklist (add / remove songs, reorder the tracklist), then save the tracklist back to a playlist (only m3u playlists can be saved).

( I very rarely use this, so there may be some bugs lying around, but I just tested this successfully )

Thank you for testing this! Great to know!

Back to the other question I had, is there a technical reason that Amazon Music doesn’t have an extension? Or is it just not popular enough/no one has tried?

I don’t think they have an official API for streaming.
