PCM2704 DAC not found

I’ve got this DAC to try and use with Pi Musicbox. However cannot get it to be picked up.
It works fine with my Linux pc.

When plugged in to the pi I’ve run aplay -1, more /proc/asound/cards and had a look in alsamixer, but it seems like it’s never recognised.

Has anyone got any suggestions? I’m probably being stupid and have missed something blazingly obvious.

Check dmesg on the pi and the other machine to see what driver it uses, then see if you can modprobe it for the pi. Otherwise poking with lsusb might tell you something useful. But my guess would just be missing driver.
