Musicbox stops working after installing other software

I want to use my rpi as a musicplayer and wireless accespoint. But when i install hostapd on the pi musicbox image. Musicbox stops working. I cant acces my playlists anymore and ever menu button goes to the browse windows but without music.

i did an apt-get update in order to install hostapd.

Anyone knows a fix are also had this issue?

does the networking stil work? can you e.g. ping www.google.com ?

Yes networking stil works. But when i install hostapd or update apt-get than musicbox stops working but the rpi functions as an accespoint.
