Installed Mopidy from Lubuntu Software Center - Won't Launch

I installed Mopidy from the Lubuntu Software Center. It seemed to install fine (no error messages). It shows up in my applications menu. when I select it, all that happens is a terminal window opens, but nothing runs.

I have rebooted and uninstalled re-installed, with no change in result.

Linux version is Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS.

What’s missing?

Mopidy server is normally run as a system service, in the background. Are
you sure it’s not already running? ‘sudo service mopidy status’ will tell
you. Else, take a look at the documentation regarding the debian package.
