After apt-get upgrade the MPC connection is refused

After upgrading today I cannot use MPC anymore. Every time I send a command the output says:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ mpc status error: Connection refused

If I use -verbose I can make it work, it’ll take quite long to respond though:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ mpc status -v Nolan Porter - I Like What You Give [paused] #29/35 0:42/3:12 (21%) volume:100% repeat: off random: on single: off consume: off

Anyone having the issues or some ideas to fix the issue?

I narrowed the issue down to the fact, that mopidy as a service takes much longer to start up since the update.
