Spotify playback just stopped again: GStreamer error: Resource not found

Hi,

Spotify playback was working until today; I now get:
ERROR [MainThread] mopidy.audio.gst GStreamer error: Resource not found.
in the log. I was on:
gst-plugin-spotify/now 0.15.0~alpha.1-1 armhf
I tried installing:
gst-plugin-spotify/now 0.15.0~alpha.1-3 armhf
and rebooting, but this did not help. Any thoughts please?

Spotify changed something and this requires a fix in librespot, which is done and will be merged shortly.

Hi I have the same Issue, how do I know when the fix is done and where can I then download the update? Thank you very much!

I think your best option is just keeping an eye on: https://github.com/kingosticks/gst-plugins-rs-build/releases/latest. The librespot 0.8.0 build contains the fix, but I would imagine it will take a little while for @kingosticks to incorporate it in a fresh build of gst-plugin-spotify.

Thanks @kingosticks for all your work on this. We all really appreciate it. It’s a pity that Spotify don’t actually value their paying customers more. I’d vote with my feet but the alternatives are limited.

It’s bad timing for me, the fix is in now but I’m away this week and I don’t have a machine.

Don’t fret, we’ll live for a few days.

It looks like a kind soul has submitted the fixes for gst-plugins-rs already, they should be merged very soon and I can kick off a build of GitHub - kingosticks/gst-plugins-rs-build: Compile and package gst-plugin-rs plugins for anyone that needs it

thank you for your responses and thank you very much for the great work and support!

Apologies for the delay. Anyone still needing a new plugin binary can find them at Release gst-plugin-spotify_0.15.0~alpha.1-4 · kingosticks/gst-plugins-rs-build · GitHub

Thanks @kingosticks - I have my beep de boops back!

Thank you very much!
