Modipy on xbian

Hello everyone,

I just installed xbian with some things like transmission, rpi-monitor, nginx. It’s working fine.
I have a Deezer premium account but i can’t stream music from a non-root android phone. Then i saw some tutorials to make a spotify streaming station on raspberry, and i’m very interested!

But first step i have an error. Here’s what i did:

xbian@xbian ~ $ sudo modprobe ipv6
xbian@xbian ~ $ wget -q -O - http://apt.mopidy.com/mopidy.gpg | sudo apt-key add -
xbian@xbian ~ $ sudo wget -q -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mopidy.list http://apt.mopidy.com/mopidy.list
xbian@xbian ~ $ sudo apt-get update

And…

xbian@xbian ~ $ sudo apt-get install modipy
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
E: Unable to locate package modipy

I read the modipy documentation and some tutorials but there’s nothing else, and nobody seems to have this error.
Is anyone have a solution?

PS: Sorry if my english isn’t perfect.

Try with the correct package name: It’s “mopidy”, not “modipy”

The package is called mopidy.

Damn it… Sorry about that (was so tired…)

I’ll try this afternoon pi musicbox on an other sdcard (just for give a shot to this great project)

When I try to install mopidy on xbian, apt-get told me that some usefull packages will be removed, like xbian-package-config-xbmc, xbian-package-libtag, xbian-package-xbmc, xbian-update…
Is there a way to install xbmc with mopidy and use them both?

I’ll try this tutorial on pi-musicbox. I hope there is no performance issue… If anyone have advices, please tell me

Yes and it's exactly the setup I use.

There is one installation issue with libtag but there is a work-around, the details are either here or in one of the Mopidy github issues. There is also a Mopidy topic on the xbian forums that explains the same issue. I'm not able to provide the link right now but if you search it'll turn up.

I found the link in my email, it's https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian/issues/378#issuecomment-37723392 but you might find the topic on the xbian forums easier to digest.
