Random WiFi problems

#1

I am noticing random WiFi connection problem at boot, so I am trying to troubleshoot.

Of course, I checked correctness of my wifi settings and routing.

In startput.sh you are resetting the network with /etc/init.d/networking restart but Debian reports that this is deprecated because it may not enable again some interfaces. Don’t you believe that it could be changed with: ifdown wlan0 && ifup wlan0 ?

#2

I have replaced /etc/init.d/networking restartwith ifdown wlan0 && ifup wlan0 and now the startup log is cleaner:

#6

Are you saying those log events directly correlate with your wireless problems or are you just posting that log file in case it’s relevant?

#7

I suppose for both reasons…

#8

OK so specifically at those times it lost connection. Are you using wireless channel 12 or 13?

#9

No, channel 11 (40Mhz bandwidth)
