# Pi music box really loud

Hi got a pi music box installed with a cheap usb soundcard attached. Sound volume is set to 1 and its still to loud. Any ideas on how to get a normal scale from 1-100. Right now 1 is equal to 20.

Try something like [Volume change on boot](https://discourse.mopidy.com/t/volume-change-on-boot/971/6)  
Otherwise there are plenty of posts on here already about excessive sound volume

Where do i find those file to edit? Telnet into the pi music box or?

Yep, ssh in and edit the file `/opt/musicbox/setsound.sh`.

That part needs some more thought in the long-term, I think we have an open issue about it on github.
