Can't authenticate with Spotify

Whenever I try to authenticate with Spotify (I am using this link: https://mopidy.com/authenticate/) it just opens a popup window that says:

This popup should automatically close in a few seconds.

However it never closes and eventually fails. Am I doing something wrong?
